"Billionaire" (or why you're still poor)

Maybe I'm just a sucker for an acoustic guitar and a reggae beat, but I actually enjoy "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy. Its lyrics reminded me of the 15 minutes of MTV I've seen in the past 5 years wherein an Oakland resident complained about being she pulled out her rhinestone-studded flip phone. Poor thing probably only had basic cable.

I wanna be a billionaire so fuckin' bad.
Buy all of the things I never had.

Give away a few Mercedes like here lady have this

Yeah can’t forget about me stupid
Everywhere I go Imma have my own theme music

I’ll probably take whatevers left and just split it up
So everybody that I love can have a couple bucks

Which brings you back to where you started: paycheck-to-paycheck, windfall-to-windfall.
